The Department of Emergency Medicine is proud to announce Lisa Merck, MD, MPH, MHA as our new Vice Chair of Research. Dr. Merck previously served as the Vice Chair of Research for the University of Florida Gainesville Department of Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Merck has an extensive track record of accomplishments and recognition in building research programs, extramural grant funding, scholarship, and mentorship. She has built a strong national reputation in EM, neurosciences and resuscitation for her accomplishments and collaboration. She will not only be a phenomenal addition to our department, but she will also be an extraordinary asset to our health system. In addition to serving as the Vice Chair of Research for the Department of EM, Dr. Merck will also serve as the Assistant Dean for Acute Care Research and Clinical Trials, as well as the Medical Director for Acute Clinical Trial Research with the Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research. These additional roles will help foster and build collaborations across the health system.
