On June 11th, VCU Department of Emergency Medicine team members came together to build 2 picnic tables and 3 park benches to be donated to the James River Park system. We had Medics, Administrators, APPs, RNs, MDs, DOs, Pharmacists all working together, learning some new skills, and enjoying the sun! Everyone had fun and it was great to work together outside the hospital. In total, the event built 9 trash huts, 15 tables, and 30 benches. These will rejuvenate some outdoor spaces around town for all to use.
