Stephen Miller attended Virginia Tech for undergraduate studies before attending medical school at the UNT Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth, TX. He completed his residency at Virginia Commonwealth University and was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine. He currently serves as the Assistant Program Director as well as Director for Emergency Preparedness and chairs the emergency department sepsis task force. Dr. Miller serves as an ARCTIC (Advanced Resuscitation Cooling Therapeutics and Intensive Care) Attending, is a member of the Emergency Department quality improvement committee, and has served as Medical Director of the VCU transfer center. In 2015 he had the opportunity to be the Chief Medical Officer for the UCI Road World Championship. His interests include disaster medicine, education, research and quality improvement in both sepsis and resuscitation, as well as evidence-based medicine.
