Why VCU EM: The program is incredibly inclusive and focused on wellness! Life is too short and medicine is too difficult to be anything other than kind and happy; this program truly embodies this sentiment. On top of that, Richmond is an amazing place to train with high acuity, trauma exposure, and diverse patient population. I also took it as a not-so-small sign that one of my dogs has the same first and last name as one of the residents I interviewed with.
Favorite thing to do in RVA: I'm still new here, but I'm sure I'll find some new favorites! So far I've enjoyed the street tacos and dog breweries! I'm still on the market for a new CrossFit gym.
Best kept RVA secret: Gonna have to go with the dog park breweries on this one...
Fun fact: My grandfather told me that we're distantly related to Reese Witherspoon.
