Grace Hickam completed her undergraduate studies at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona before moving across the country to Richmond, Virginia where she attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine (VCU). Grace was fortunate enough to also complete her residency training in emergency medicine at VCU as well as her Fellowship training in Medical Education. During her fellowship training, she completed a Masters in Education for Health Professions through John Hopkins University. Her interests are in adult learning theory, educational theory, gender equity in residency training, medical education innovation/simulation, and patient quality and safety. She currently serves as an Assistant Program Director and is also an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine.
