Why VCU EM: 100% the people. I’ve been in Richmond for 10 years and thing that keeps me here are the people. The attendings, residents, nurses, APPs, and techs are some of the most genuinely kind people I’ve met. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else for residency.
Favorite thing to do in RVA: Coffee + Dog Parks is a perfect day off!
Best kept RVA secret: We’re so close to great hiking spots, just an hour car ride puts you right in the middle of beautiful hiking up and down the Appalachian trails.
Fun fact: Still reigning pancake eating champ in my home town.
