Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship at VCU/Children’s hospital of Richmond

Program Overview

Thank you for your interest in the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program at VCU Health/Children’s Hospital of Richmond.

The PEM fellowship is a two (EM resident track) or three (Pediatric resident track)-year program focusing on patient care, research, adult teaching and learning and administration. Applicants must have completed an ACGME accredited residency in pediatrics or emergency medicine.

Our program aims to prepare outstanding clinicians dedicated to the advancement of Pediatric Emergency Medicine through leadership, research, advocacy and education.

We support the development of research and teaching skills among trainees in addition to a thorough understanding of administrative issues that will lead to success in the world of academic medicine.

The fellows are given the opportunity to pursue an advanced degree from one of the highly competitive schools within VCU.
