The Department of Emergency Medicine offers post-residency fellowships that last between one and three years, depending on the specialty. Fellows in Medical Toxicology, Ultrasound, Emergent Cardiac Care, Clinical Resuscitation and EMS, are given a faculty appointment as a clinical instructor in emergency medicine and perform clinical shifts as an attending physician at the Adult Emergency Department at VCU Medical Center, a busy Level 1 trauma center. For Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellows, please see separate section.
Our fellows receive a competitive salary, plus benefits, and also have the opportunity to enroll in the M.P.H., M.H.A., M.B.A. or M.S. program during their fellowships.
