Why VCU EM: I chose VCU EM because of the strong training environment, numerous research and fellowship opportunities, and the incredibly smart and welcoming residents and attendings I worked with as a VCU medical student!
Favorite thing to do in RVA: South of the James farmer's market, a walk through Maymont, a run along the James River, or an afternoon at the breweries. All followed by food from one of Richmond's awesome restaurants (current favorite: quesabirria tacos).
Best kept RVA secret: Catch a old movie at the Byrd Theatre in Carytown on a Saturday night and watch Bob play the "Mighty Wurlitzer Organ".
Fun fact: I have run either the half or full Richmond marathon every year since 2015. Here's to three more!
