Pediatric Emergency Medicine

The VCU Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine has operated a separate area for the emergency care of children for more than 25 years. Operating 24/7, the pediatric emergency department features 11 beds with two beds set aside for pediatric critical care.

The pediatric emergency department is also the clinical site of the VCU Child Protective Team, which is devoted exclusively to the care of physically and sexually abused children.
